DIY Tutorial: Graduation Cupcakes!!!

Congratulations 2013 graduates!!!  Celebrate with these fun graduation cupcakes. It surely will put a smile on a graduates face :)

Cupcakes with Graduation Caps and Diplomas!






What You'll Need:

Cupcakes with icing
Red hots or m&ms
Square chocolate cookies
Fruit rollop or similar gummy strips cut into thin strips and 1 1/2 inches long
Waffle cookies or Oreo Funstix cut into 1 1/2-2  inch pieces
Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cups
Decorating Gel or similar
Step 1:

Add your Reese's Mini Peanut Butter Cup with the large side onto the icing.

Step 2:

Turn your cookie upside down, and add a touch of your icing gel to the middle of the cookie.

Step 3:

 Place cookie on top of the peanut butter cup so that the gel is aligned with the candy.
Refridgerate for a few minutes to let it set.

Step 4:

Add a touch of icing gel to two gummy strips and place in the middle of your cookie.

Step 5:

Add a touch of icing to the top of the gummy strips and add a Red Hot or m&m.

Your cupcake should look something like this.
Place in the refrigerator for a few minutes to let the gel set.

Step 6:

Add a gummy strip and wrap it around the waffle cookie and press into place.

Step 7:

Place waffle cookie on your cupcake and add a fun cupcake liner if you like.

Voila!

The Block Party is a fun idea for all of South Pasadena intended to continue building "that small town feeling". Take  your family and friends for an evening to remember.

There will be few things around for the kids, such as a MOON BOUNCE, and FACE PAINTING. And no party is complete without FOOD. Starting at 5pm, the grill master Ben will be making his famous bacon wrapped hot dogs. And there will be ice cream, popcorn and other refreshments available as well.

They'll have an OUTDOOR VIEWING of the MOVIE, "BRAVE" beginning at 8pm.
Everyone is welcome. And again, the entire event, food and movie included, is FREE of charge.

Showcasing sustainable living and culture through an array of fun, family-friendly activities and performances, this free festival provides an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together, to connect, create, and celebrate Santa Monica.

The Santa Monica Festival features live music, dance performances, art workshops, food trucks, cooking demonstrations, fitness classes, and other interactive activities that 
reflect the culture and diversity of this unique beach City.

An opportunity to learn how to use a wood lathe to make a fully functional wood pen in a 1-hour class session. You will learn one-on-one with the guidance of an experienced woodturner from the Glendale Woodturning Guild how to turn a square block of wood into a beautiful functional pen or mechanical pencil using a wood lathe. Participants will see other cool things you can make with a lathe like wands, chess pieces, bowls, and more.

No experience required. Ages 10+ with parent present.
